Campsite of Castellane Camping pitches
Land Area of pitches

What size is an average pitch?

About 100 m2, some are 120 m2 and few only 80 m2.

Equipment of camping pitch

Is there a barbecue?
No, but you can rent a table grill by asking at reception.

Can we rent a fridge?
There are small fridges near the restaurant but they can not be moved to your camping pitch. You can get a key at the reception.

Eletricity on the pitch

Do all your pitches have electricity?
Yes, all our pitches have electricity.  40% has a power supply at a distance of less than 10 m; 40% at a distance of less than 20 m; and 20% at a distance of less than 40 m. Anyway, we can always lend you a extension cord (free, but deposit).

What types of power points are there available on your campsite?
Most are French power points, so you have two holes and the earth. Several pitches are supplied with the blue European type (three-pin) of power point. Anyway, you can always borrow an adapter from the reception desk (free, but deposit).

Connection to the mains and water – sewage systems

Is there a water supply on each pitch?
No, but 50% of our pitches have water taps. Consequently, you can connect your private installation to the water supply. When you make your booking, just mention you need a water point on your pitch.

Are the pitches separated from one another?
In most cases, the pitches are in blocks of two with 20 meters long and 10 meters wide. It works perfectly with two clients lining up along 10 meters .

Can I beam in the TV channels from my satellite dish?
Yes and that is made easier thanks to many pitches with low tree density facing south.

Shade on Camping International

Are your pitches well-shaded?

No, not really, but you have to remember that we have the advantage of a mountain climate: so during the summer it's not too hot (max. 35 degrees in the afternoon) and the nights are quite fresh so you can cool off and sleep well. Don't forget to bring your blankets and jumpers!

Sanitary Block of Camping International

Do we need shower-tokens ?
No, the showers are free and open day and night.

Are showers heated for the low season ?
Yes in one particular sanitary block (numbered A facing the reception). Solar panels with help if need be of gas boilers add to your comfort thanks to heated floor underneath all arts, corridor and even individual showers.

Ecological Policy at Camping International

How concrete is your ecological policy?
Since 2004 our campsite is rewarded with French and international label Green Key, awarded to campsites with peculiar attention to a strict green policy.

Are garbage containers remote from pitches or accommodation?
For obvious reasons of hygiene and disturbance, they are located opposite the entrance of the campsite.

Does the garbage space offers sorting per type of garbage?
It separates with glass in green containers, paper in blue, plastic in yellow. We also offers a point for bread apart, destined to local farm animals like sheep and goats. Two compost baskets are on offer in the campsite to throw away in a clean green way the leftover of food and meals.

Can we sort our garbage?
Yes, you can. The site does respect the garbage sorting policy of the region (the General Council, "Conseil Général", the "Alpes de Haute Provence") and the town of Castellane. Sorting your trash is easy: the green bins for glass, yellow and blue packaging cardboard and paper. For the local goats you can contribute your old bread in a large bag that the site has added to do, and there is also a bin for plastic caps for the association "Petits Bouchons" French humorist Jean-Marie Bigard (the yield is for the disabled). There are also two compost bins for food waste into compost, which in turn is recycled by the campsite.
