Ecological Policy at Camping International

Ecological Policy at Camping International Camping pitches
Ecological Policy at Camping International

How concrete is your ecological policy?
Since 2004 our Campsite is rewarded with French and international label Green Key, awarded to campsites with peculiar attention to a strict green policy.

Are garbage containers remote from pitches or accommodation?
For obvious reasons of hygiene and disturbance, they are located opposite the entrance of the campsite.

Does the garbage space offers sorting per type of garbage?
It separates with glass in green containers, paper in blue, plastic in yellow. We also offers a point for bread apart, destined to local farm animals like sheep and goats. Two compost baskets are on offer in the campsite to throw away in a clean green way the leftover of food and meals.

Can we sort our garbage?
Yes, you can. The site does respect the garbage sorting policy of the region (the General Council, "Conseil Général", the "Alpes de Haute Provence") and the town of Castellane. Sorting your trash is easy: the green bins for glass, yellow and blue packaging cardboard and paper. For the local goats you can contribute your old bread in a large bag that the site has added to do, and there is also a bin for plastic caps for the association "Petits Bouchons" French humorist Jean-Marie Bigard (the yield is for the disabled). There are also two compost bins for food waste into compost, which in turn is recycled by the campsite.
