Paragliding Rafting High-ropes course at Castellane in the Verdon Gorge

Our campsite at Castellane, near the Gorges du Verdon in Provence, has selected a number of off-site activities such as Paragliding, Rafting, Riverboarding, Canorafting or Rope parks which are certain to delight thrill-seekers. Some will definitely want to do some paragliding at Saint-André les Alpes, 21 km away, while others will enjoy trying out wild water sports such as canorafting, riverboarding or of course rafting.

The Jabron and other nearby waterways are ideal for practising river hiking or canyoning.

The Gorges du Verdon also offers the possibility to go hiking on the GR4 route along the Blanc-Martel trail considered by hikers worldwide to be the nec plus ultra of nature sites.

Those fond of treetop adventures will love the high altitude world of the rope park belonging to our partner Adventure Forest. A zip wire over the Gorges du Verdon and rope courses of three different heights all provide their share of excitement while at the same time being very safe.

When it comes to culture, Castellane is home to several museums, including the Citroën Museum opposite the campsite, the French Resistance Museum and the museums of popular art and geology in the centre of the village, 2 km from Camping International.
