What can I do in 24 h in Castellane?
You can climb to the Roc de Castellane, the emblem of the city. Simply take the footpath signposted near the Church of the sacred heart, at the centre of Castellane. The Campsite also offers this market, with however a different route. (2 min by car from the campsite).
For lovers of swimming or pedal boat rides, the basis of nautical leisure 'Sirocco' offers boat rentals to enjoy the beauty of the Lake Castillon (5 min from the campsite).
Those and those who so wish, it is possible to go paragliding in Saint-André-les-Alpes (20 min from the campsite). The paragliding school offers to overfly Castillon Lake and its surroundings. Count 2 h for this activity.
What can I do in 48 hours?
You can perform a market with us, since we propose small hikes of 3 h, one day out of two. Thus you will discover the ledge of the Cheiron and Castillon Lake, the old forest House located at 1030 m altitude, Roc de Castellane or even Colle Brayal, a hamlet of Castellane.
There is also the Maison Nature et Patrimoine, located in the heart of Castellane, which offers various exhibitions and you will tell the story of the old "sirens" of 40 million years ago.
If you are interested in water sports, check out the Canyoning and Rafting! With our partner Aboard Rafting, you browse through impressive canyons or the emerald waters of the Verdon. Note that rafting is practised only on Tuesday and Friday, day of the release of water from the dam.
Aboard Rafting also has a park adventure in the trees out of Castellane in the direction of the gorges du Verdon. Ideal for children as for adults, the ropes course offers unique views of the Verdon.
Finally, 20 km from the campsite, don't miss the essential Point Sublime. This viewpoint allows a remarkable view of the site of the Gorges of the Verdon.
What can I do in 3 days?
First of all, if you like hiking, beautiful scenery, the scenery and that you are a pretty good sport, we can only advise the Martel path. This 14km hike (ideally conducted in 7 h) provides magical views on the Gorges du Verdon. Become indispensable, it is nonetheless difficult (many passages on the edge of the cliff, narrow paths, the path length).
If you prefer to walk someone else, an equestrian centre is located just behind the campsite and offers numerous walks the walk, trot or Gallop!
For the thrill-seeking activities, our partner offers Hydrospeed, is a total immersion in the Gorges of the Verdon. Finally, be aware that the highest bridge in Europe (182 m) welcomes the more courageous for a unforgettable bungee jumping.
By car, you will appreciate the route des Crêtes, a succession of viewpoints offering incomparable views of the canyon of the Verdon and the small village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie (one of the most beautiful villages of France), famous for its earthenware, its star and the charm of its streets.
