The Réglés (1,447 M) (M1)

All difficulties: P2 - P3, T3. (for average hikers trained and sports). Time: meaning of the description: 2 h, reverse: 1½ hours elevation gain: climb: 496 m, descent: 11 m.
Mileage: 5,300 km. Features: very picturesque course in balcony. A perform in spring and autumn.

Description of the route

Of Rougon (alt.: 962 m), with G.R. 4, joining the downstream part of the sinkhole of the Suech, in a small way accessing a tower of H.T. line (alt.: 1,228 m) (small water pipe covered leaving perceive a slight gurgle).
•    Of Rougon: 35 min. Proceed on this road for approx. 200 m and deviate to the left by a small poorly defined trace, on a hilltop to the crest of the Catalan bar. Stand on the slope North of it, the versant Sud presents a very important escarpment, and reach the Summit marked by a picket (alt.: 1 333 m) and offering a beautiful view from all sides (P2).
•    The G.R. 4:15 mn. To the East, continue in the balcony by the Ridge which slopes gently down through boxwood and lavender to a rabbit Hutch leading grassy snaring of the Couestes (alt.: 1,330 m) (P2).
•    The Summit of the Catalan bar: 30 minutes. To the Northwest, across grassy sinkhole located at the bottom of the upper rump. Borrow it at best by a trace to the Southeast overlooking depressions left, achieve a very deep joint across our path. From the East, the cross on a rock bridge on the edge of Cliff and be faced a second joint still deeper. Go northeast on approx. 250 m in an area of limestone pavements and happen to cross. To the Southwest, between this second joint and a third shallower, reach the top of the set (alt.: 1 447 m) after a delicate course (P2 - T1) on rocks often unstable and boxwood. Summit post.
•    The Couestes collar: 40 minutes.
•    The village of Rougon: 2 h. perspective: remarkable from all sides. To the North of the Mourre de Chanier to the crests of Colle Berneiche by the flutes, the Pioulet, Berbene, Pre-chauvin and the Brandis Cadieres. To the South, the parade of the Verdon Canyon and the Jabron Valley dominated by large trays of the Breis glue and wood of area. Description of the route

Of Rougon (alt.: 962 m), parking, with the L1 route, winning the Suech doline (alt.: 1,210 m) (P2).
•    Of Rougon: 40 min. Let the L1 route left towards the Northwest, and stand in the North. Cross the sinkhole (pasture), the path is followed by a power line to B.T. During the journey, noted many ruins of ancient sheepfolds. Reach the Caron a sheepfold at half-restored (alt.: 1,248 m).
•    Of the sinkhole of Suech: 20 min.
•    Point advantaged: eastward on the Brandis Cadieres. Road, old Roman road, turns towards the Northeast on a carpet of grass bordered of boxwood, and descends by dominating in R.G. Bunting ravine. After a few sinuosities, it enters a wood first northward, then eastward down the oak forest of Devens - several Roman walls - to the village of Chasteuil which can be reached at the school after passing above the old Castle (alt.: 872 m).
•    The Col de Caron: 1 h.
•    Of Rougon: 2 h.

Top of the Pioulet (M3)

By the transverse Ridge and Berbene Ridge.
All difficulties: P3, with passage T1 (for good hikers sports).
Time: meaning of the description: 5 h, reverse: 5 hours elevation gain: climb: 993 m, descent: 1082 m.
Mileage: 15.200 km. Features: beautiful ridge path. A proceed preferably in spring and autumn.

Description of the route

Of Rougon (alt.: 962 m), parking, with the L1 route, win the hole located on the western spur of the flutes (alt.: 1 597 m) (P2).
•    Of Rougon: 1 h 45. Climb this spur first in pastures, then in (P2-P3T1) falls to the edge of the plateau (alt.: 1 715 m). To the North, climbing the ledge leading to the top of the flutes (alt.: 1,745 m).
•    Of the breach: 20 minutes. Follow the ridge to the East, and win pastures leading to the cairn marking the top of the ridge of the flutes (alt.: 1 743 m).
•    The Summit of the flutes: 10 minutes. Go gradually to the North-North-East, overlooking the cliffs of left (Northwest). Switch to the 1 700 m and then 1 694 m pointements and go down to point 1 673 m then climb strongly to the fore Summit 1 719 m, then at the top of the Pioulet (P3 - T1) (alt.: 1,744 m) (geodetic Terminal). During the circuit, in the spring, it is a carpet of flowers (spring gentians, gold buttons, wild peonies, etc.).
•    The Summit of the transverse Ridge: 30 minutes. By a somewhat steep descent to the North, on the edge of the Ridge, win the top of a gully (alt.: 1 659 m) and reassemble in pastures, then in a more troubled and sometimes Rocky area to the top of the crest of Berbene (alt.: 1 771 m).
•    From the top of the Pioulet: 25 min. Point of view: to the North, on the Valley of the Bileux Asse and the Summit of pre Chauvin. To the South, on the Valley of the Verdon. Continue along the Ridge descending gradually eastward, the terrain is steep (P3). Pass an other (alt.: 1,649 m) and towards of rocky cliffs that are avoided by the North, they descend to the Southeast. By a rump, N-North-East (divide line), get off at Colle bass (alt.: 1 446 m), after passing left a sheepfold in ruins.
•    The Summit of the ridge of Berbene: 30 mn (junction with the L9 arriving from left and N2 arriving right routes). With the route N2 in the opposite direction, winning the hamlet of Chasteuil (alt.: 873 m).

Pre-Chauvin-Brandis

The natural unit of Pre-chauvin-Brandis is limited to the Northwest since Blieux by C.D. 21 until the R.N. 85-la Tuilière; in the Northeast, by R.N. 85 to Castellane. to the South, by the course of the Verdon. and to the Southwest by a line from Chasteuil, glue bass, and going to Blieux.

Chasteuil to Villars-Brandis and Castellane (N1)

Description of the route

From the C.D. 952 from Pont de Soleil to Castellane road, a small road leads to the hamlet of Chasteuil (parking before the access in the metropolitan area) (alt.: 873 m). With the N2 route, cross the village and take the G.R. 4 arriving left until the red path that deviates to the left (alt.: 882 m).
•    The hamlet of Chasteuil: 30mn. Continue with the G.R. by the dominant balcony right path the Verdon. At a bend, one discovers ahead the Brandis Cadieres dominating left and right Rocky blades. The side of the road widens after a turn, earning a level which leads to a small collar an oratory was built (alt.: 977 m).
•    The Red route (route N2): 45 min. Off-route: the oratory, a small path deviates right leading in 5 min at the Saint-Jean Chapel, located on a Rocky Ridge.It is equipped with a Bell Tower, where the Bell was removed; the back consists of an apse. The path plunges into the undulating of the ravine of Brandis, northeasterly, down slightly. Reach it.
•    Oratory: 10 minutes. By a very steep side, win the ruins of the former village of Brandis (source) (alt.: 1,061 m).
•    The ravine of Brandis: 20 minutes. History: the village of Brandis, at the foot of the Cadieres, consists of ruins. It is in 1944, during the liberation of France, the enemy has invaded the village which was a landmark of the resistance, and burned all the houses. Curiosity: from the ruins, a yellow path leads to a large meadow, where it feels good the Lincoln, to the West, a very damp area where you can see a forest of poplars, willows and walnut trees. Point of view: beautiful on the Brandis Cadieres where a regular slope of scree goes down to the large prairie. Continue East by G.R. 4, first down, then amount regularly by following the folding of the flank of the mountain. •    The ruins of Brandis: 30mn. Villars-Brandis, it joined Castellane by municipal road 8. Perform four laces and go to the left by a small path which can be found below (alt.: 857 m). By a dirt track, stand in the houses of the glue, small cross and oratory (camping). A coated road transports us to the C.D. 952 to Sadha (entrance of Castellane) road (alt.: 726 m).
•    Of Villars-Brandis: 45 min. To the East, by road, the town of Castellane (alt.: 718 m).
•    Access to the C.D. 952: 30 minutes drive.

Pre-chauvin (N2) Summit (1,741 M)

From the hamlet of Chasteuil.
All difficulties: P2 - T1, with passages P3 (for good hikers).
Time: meaning of the description: 2 h 30, reverse: 2 hours elevation gain: climb: 890 m, descent: 22 m.
Mileage 3,500 km. Features: direct and sometimes painful ascent. A browse in the spring and fall.

Description of the route

From the C.D. 952 from Pont de Soleil to Castellane road, a small road leads to the hamlet of Chasteuil (parking before you access in the metropolitan area) (alt.: 873 m). Go past the town and take the G.R. 4 coming from left. It passes before an oratory and then under a great fold (Linden and walnut). Circulate in corniche to the Northeast, down to the hollow of the ravine of the are where you meet a small pumping station (maples and hairy). The trail passes under the roubines amount slightly. Perform two bends in the third, a red trace deviates to the left (alt.: 882 m).
•    The hamlet of Chasteuil: 30mn. (N1 and N3 routes continue along the path, as well as the G.R.). •    The G.R. 4:30 minutes. Off-route: right, towards the East, you can go to the ruined Tower of the Castle, whose four walls are still standing (5 minutes). To the Northwest, regularly ride through scrubland and thickets, then follow right (R.G.) the ravine of the King to the pass of Colle bass, avoiding early a Rubin from the right (junction with routes M3 and N9) (ruins of a former sheepfold) (alt.: 1 446 m).
•    Of the old Chasteuil: 1 h. With the route ° N9, northeasterly, to reach the Summit of Pre-chauvin (alt.: 1,741 ml.)
•    Glue bass: 30mn.

Cadieres of Brandis (N3) (1,545 M)

Since the village ruined Brandis.
All difficulties: P2 - T1 (for very good hikers) time: meaning of the description: 3 h 15, reverse: 2 h 45 metres in height: climb: 723 m, descent: 51 m.
Mileage: 6,000 km. Features: very wild route in a very hard setting. The climb is often painful.

Description of the route

The hamlet of Chasteuil (alt.: 873 m), with the N1 route joining the village ruined Brandis (alt.: 1,061 m).
•    Of Chasteuil: 1 h 45. Stand on the left, followed by a former yellow trace, and reach a large meadow. The cross as well as a wood of willows and poplars in order to reach the bottom of the landslide descended from the Cadieres. Engage in the undulating formed on the left, in the middle of Hazel. Leave it pretty quickly for climbing on the left slopes, quite Woods, in order to reach the top of the bar of the Eagle (alt.: 1 212 m).
•    The ruins of Brandis: 35 min. A flank, by a trace, follow a race towards the West, and mount North on a hillside of scrubland dotted with pine trees, up a gully that is climbed to the northeast in a landslide across by location of the coppice (attention: vipers). Go left (West) of the Menhir - first column forming the Cadieres - laces lead to the collar of the plane between the Brandis Cadieres and the crest of the Pas du Loup (alt.: 1 484 m).
•    The Eagle bar: 45 min. Bear right (East-South-East) by traces up to themselves and the collapse of the Cadieres (alt.: 1 545 m).
•    Access to the plan: 10 minutes.

Cadieres of Brandis (N4) (1,545 M)

Description of the route

De Castellane (alt.: 718 m), travel route C.D. 952 Comps-sur-Artuby until Sadha (alt.: 726 m) (at approx. 2 km Castellane). •    Glue: 45 min. Curiosity: nice little hamlet in the foothills of the Alps dating from the 12th century, whose original name was "Brandisium". It is composed of a small number of houses, with a Gîte d ' étape at the entrance, then an oratory. Small church and fountain above the hamlet. Autour, several small orchards of Apple trees and pear trees. Pass the hamlet and bypass the Church the right to grow in an area of scrubland, pass under a ruin, to a rump, G.R. 4 deviates to the left; borrow a yellow route (former Red trace) that stands right on the rump to the Northwest, then to the North towards a gully. By laces on the slopes of the Deversets, through a bare area upwards, reach Colle Bernaiche Ridge, at the bend of the track going to the TV station (alt.: 1 392 m).Take the left lane which rises towards the (antenna) station (alt.: 1 420 m).
•    The hamlet of Brandis Villars: 1 h 10. With the route N5 ° reverse, join the Brandis Cadieres (alt.: 1 545 m).
•    Glue Bernaiche TV station: 50 min.
•    The town of Castellane: 3 h 30.

Circuit of Cadieres in Brandis (N5) (1,545 M)

From the pass of Lèques

Description of the route

By road No. 85 (route Napoléon), reach the pass of Lèques located approx. 10 km west of Castellane. Parking possibility (alt. 1 148 m).
To the South, take a dirt track that passes left tennis courts. Approx. 750 m, be bifurcation (signalling; yellow staking on the two railways) (alt.: 1153 m).
•    Col of Lèques: 10 minutes. Let the track continue southward on the left; but turn right, West, direction "Taulanne". This path is sinking into a wood of pins in brackets and boxwood, whose ground strewn with boulders is lined with foam. We are dominated on the left by a ruiniform mountain. Further, following the left side of a gully (r.d.) there are some junipers and some hazelnut. Arrive at a junction (alt.: 1 210 m).
•    Fork (alt.: 1,153 m): 25 min. Right leave the path leading down to Taulanne (white dot) as well as which refers to itself, to borrow on the left, to the South: a small path, followed by the yellow route, which rises strongly in the tight Woods of Chalonnet. Achieve a transversal path. Stand on the right, to the West and quickly again move south right morainic chaos. Off-route: by traces, deviate right southwesterly to a ridge to see the fabulous tours that represent the Brandis Cadieres and chaotic collapse that separates them from the Ridge (alt. 1545 m) (15 min) (P2 T1). You can then follow the ridge to the East, a former yellow trace back to the route.
To the left (E), fit on a small plateau in a wood of black pine trees, where the soil is littered with raspberries and blueberries. Trail departs to the Southeast to be located in the East of the Cadieres extension. The environment becomes more open and the view is magnificent over the course of the Verdon dominated by the peak of the Robion. It is in the middle of genets very low heads East, then, after a slope to S, return to the W down gradually to a spur where the trail loops (G.P. on the Cadieres). •    From the chaos of the Brandis Cadieres: 40 minutes. Point of view: generous throughout the country of the Verdon. Pre-chauvin (N6) Summit (1,741 M)

From the pass of Lèques.

Description of the route

By R.N. 85, reach the col of Lèques located 10 km I' West of Castellane (parking) (alt.: 1,148 m). With the N5 route, winning the crossroads of the green route (alt.: 1 508 m). -Col of Lèques: 1 h 20.

Description of the route

By road RN 85, approx. 500 m to the Northwest, before reaching the access to the hamlet of Taulanne, a small path deviates to the West (parking, 150 m to the North) (alt.: 1,041 m). By a small wooden bridge, cross the ravine of Sant Peire (yellow trace). A good path runs northwesterly, bordered by poplars and alders.Go left of the ruins of the House surrounded by wild plum, then cross the ravine of the greenhouse. In undergrowth, climb a path supported by a low wall, after three laces, reach the rocky ridge of the mountain where the Saint-Pierre Oratory in 1815 was built (alt.: 1 144 m) (route N8 ° departs left at third lace).

Description of the route

By road RN 85, approx. 500 m to the Northwest, before reaching the access to the hamlet of Taulanne, a small path deviates to the West (parking at 150 m to the North) (alt.: 1,041 m).
With the route ° N7, join the last lace leading to the oratory Saint-Pierre, and by a path on the left, depart to the Northwest, through fairly arid terrain, consisting of broom. Climb down from the Rocky Ridge that dominates, and bypassing the left (P2 - T1). Climb a steep path of loose stones which joined the ridge to the W of a GEODESIC signal (alt.: 1 252 m).
•    Of the 85: 40 mn R.N.. Westward, through a small trace, browse the Ridge first rising strongly (P2) to point 1 309 m; Coast diminishes, and the Ridge tilts toward the Southwest. Mount regularly over escarpments located to the North, then to the S that progress on a fairly arid land with a few isolated pines.Achieve a replat (alt.: 1,626 m) (P2).
•    Access to the peak: 1 h 20. Cross this replat on approx. 500 m, a very pronounced side is followed to the Summit of Pre-chauvin (alt.: 1,741 m) (P2).

Description of the route

By C.D. 21 road, do not reach the village of Blieux, but the Plan of Asse, take a small road down to the river of the Asse of Blieux that one crosses on a wooden bridge. Possibility of parking near a wood exploitation (alt.: 875 m). The track path eastward over the Creek of the Carrington on a wooden bridge. It sometimes rises strongly (B.T. power line). Go left of the ruins of the Diufrei and then reach the sheepfold and the farm of the Carrington (fully restored) (alt.: 955 m).
•    The Asse of Blieux plan: 25 min. Let the paths and trails left, towards the South, rising regularly by a small path first across meadows fallow, then at the edge of the wood. Pass to the right of the ruins of Luguette, and further enter the forest of the Plasterers. Cross the ravine of the Plasterers (alt.: 1,033 m) then after a barely pronounced climb, cross a second ravine to then find 100 m later at a junction (alt.: 1,082 m).
•    The Carter farm: 20 minutes. Take the left path to the Southeast, which rises frankly on the rump of the forest between two gullies. Very quickly, we gain altitude without insofar as the coast is very strong. The trail is adjacent to the ravine. The coast is recovering through a very dense black pine wood, then left follow (R.D.) the Carrington until glue bass Creek (alt.: 1 446 m) (ruins on the right).
•    Fork (alt.: 1,082 m): 1 h (the M3 route arrives to the right, the N2 route arrives in front).Left, climbing towards N-North-East on the rump of the fairly arid mountain, only covered by Prairie. The coast is regular, but very stiff and straight to lead directly to the Summit of Pre-chauvin (alt.: 1,741 m) (geodetic Terminal).
•    Glue bass: 45 min.

Description of the route

The small village of Trigance (alt.: 788 m), (parking located south), headed north and go down a small road, accompanied by traces of yellow and red. At a PIN, continue in the same direction by a track (small barrier), leaving the path of Carajuans to the right and the yellow route (alt.: 772 m).
•    The village of Trigance: 15 mn. Track lined with pine trees and boxwood. At the ALT. 825 m, perform a double pin, and further the fact track place a way – but for how long? It climbs regularly in beautiful wood with large covered Rocky blocks of foam. Reach a bifurcation (alt.: 874 m).
•    Fork (alt. 874 m): 30 minutes. With the red trace, turn left, the coast is recovering slightly to 930 alt. m and 950 m; make laces and above to achieve a replat South (alt.: 1 035 m).
•    From the beginning of the track: 45 min. This is more than a little path meandering through wood that West leads to the peak of Casseyere (alt.: 1 040 m).Browse the slope of this Ridge, our course is supported by stones in the middle of the scrubland, dominated on the left by the escarpments of the Summit of Breis. It is then in a wood of pines and pubescent on the carpeted ground of Strawberry, that we reach Breis collar (alt.: 1,134 m). Down to a wide path (alt.: 1 117 m) (arrival to the right of the G.R. and a yellow path as well as the route P3).
•    The reveal of the glue of Breis: 30mn. This path left and quickly win the Entreverges pass (alt.: 1,140 m).
•    Access to the trail: 10 minutes. Off-route: Entreverges pass, one can reach easily to right the crest of the old weapon following drailles sheep left rocky areas. Southward, browse it through shrubs until the Summit (alt.: 1 251 m) (Entreverges pass: 20 minutes). A good path down between pastures to the Entreverges farm that is avoided by the left (alt.: 1,096 m).
•    Entreverges pass: 10 minutes. Curiosity: this inhabited farm consists of a sheepfold and several outbuildings. Front of the main house, haven of freshness under the trees. South of the farm, access to a road that is adjacent only to deviate to the left towards the West and North by a caraire that leads to a new home (yellow trace and G.R.). Before reaching it, deviate to the right across a meadow to the collar between the summits of Breis and Muel (source) (alt.: 1,063 m).
•    Entreverges farm: 15 mn. Cross a gully and follow the flank South and rocky the sang of the Preil, down regularly by a trail through boxwood, broom and Juniper. In a pine forest dotted with pubescent, win a good way (alt.: 928 m), construction above.
•    Collar (alt.: 1,063 m): 35 min. Descend to the right leaving part and other access to residences, and then, at a crossroads, the yellow trace deviates right.With G.R., go straight eastward, then northward, and again to the East, in order to reach the village of Trigance after passing left a well shaped Sugar Loaf (alt.: 788 m).
•    Access to the path: 20 minutes.
The circuit total: 3 h 30.

Breis glue (P2) circuit

By Carajuan.
All difficulties: P2, with runs P3 and T1. (for average hikers). Time: meaning of the description: 2 h 45, reverse: 2 h 45 metres in height: climb: 188 m, descent: 188 m.
Mileage: 8,100 miles. Features: the first half of the circuit takes place in a very nice wood. Back to Trigance borrows a track that makes the sometimes monotonous journey. Can be done throughout the year.

Description of the route

The village of Trigance (alt.: 788 m) (parking at the south entrance), cross to the North and down by a small road, accompanied by yellow and Red traces. At a hairpin, left leave a trail (route P1) and take the direction of Pont de Carajuan (Panel) with the yellow route (alt. 772 m).
•    De Trigance: 15 mn. Down in a pine forest and reach a forest track. The follow up to a junction (alt.: 740 m).
•    Road: 10 minutes. Leave the yellow trace follow the trail right and browse the good left hand path in a wood with beautiful large trees (pines and hairy). At the ruin of the barns of Breis, move towards the Northwest in an undulating amounting to a saddle (alt.: 805 m), along with covered terraces of foam. Very beautiful view on the bar in front and to the right on the Brandis Cadieres and Eagle the Robion.
•    Track: 45 min. Begin a descent by a small very nice trail, first northward, then East-North-East. Find themselves in a more open area and dominate the confluence of Jabron with Verdon. By a very steep slope (P2-P3-T1), get off at the abandoned runway previously, in the locality "Salaus" (alt.: 660 m).
•    The saddle (alt.: 805 m): 20 min. Off-route: out of curiosity, follow the trail to the left to discover the Carajuan bridge. To the South, take the lane which rises regularly until the junction (alt.: 740 m).
•    Of the Salaus: 45 min. With the course starting in the opposite direction, joining the village of Trigance (alt.: 788 m).
•    Fork (alt.: 740 m): 30 minutes.

Point Sublime to Saint - Maimes (P3)

By the pass of Entreverges.

Description of the route

Approx. 1 km before reaching the end of the road C.D. 234 accessing the point of view of the hallway Samson, the G.R. and yellow path cross the road (possibility of parking) (alt.: 711 m).
Southeasterly, borrow these traces by a dirt road on approx. 50 m then descend by a small path in the Woods (P2-P3-T1), pass under a small cave to the left and reach further down the Tusset Bridge spanning the Verdon (ait.: 620 m).
•    The C.D. 234: 15 minutes drive. Curiosity: medieval bridge in the form of vault where the soil was odisho. West, circulate in cornice above the Verdon, a low passage and enter into very varied species wood (pine, charcoal pencils, maple trees, acacias, pubescent, boxwood, etc.). After having crossed gullies of Combe distillers and climb switchbacks (P2) then reach an area more clear indoor Hazel dominating the right greenhouse Meyan vallon. Go to the source of greenhouse Meyan (alt. 754 m).
•    The Pont de Tusset: 20 minutes. The trail always rises in laces and enters a gorgeous high maple forest; left join the rock of la Renardière, where a small cave opens before us (alt.: 868 m).
•    Greenhouse Meyan source: 15mn. Advancing southward in an Oak Grove of pubescent, where a few pins support often clumps of mistletoe. Leave a trail to deviate to the right; from time to time, perform hooks in the wood of the Ferraja, where the course is very nice, then in balcony, dominate the farm of Encastel fully restored, with above, a wall that dominates the bottom is marked by a large horizontal Rocky fault (the bergschrund). Behind this décor, beyond the Verdon, develops the cliff of l ' Escalès. Above, reach the track access to the farm of Encastel (alt.: 1 047 m).
•    The Rocher de la Renardière: 30mn. Follow this trail to the South, and very quickly, the Red route of route P1 happens left (ALT: 1 117 m).
•    Access to the track: 5 minutes. With the P1 route, joining the Entreverges pass (alt.: 1,140 m) and, later, the farm of Entreverges (alt.: 1,096 m).
•    The arrival of the red trace: 20 minutes. By the paved lane and route P5, in reverse, to reach Saint-Maimes farm (alt.: 980 m).

Description of the route

On the C.D. 71, between Comps-sur-Artuby and Aiguines road, join the Blueberry: Saint-Maimes, approx. 4 km west of the intersection with route C.D. 90 (alt.: 980 m) (possible parking). Approx. 500 m before reaching Saint-Maimes, a small road deviates to N, borrow it from hillside, it tilts northwesterly in a point which leads to the farm of Entreverges (alt.: 1,096 m) (junction with route P1 and P3 n).
•    The C.D. 71: 30 minutes drive. With the P1 route, winning the source located in the collar between the tops of the Muel and Breis Summit (alt.: 1,063 m).
•    Entreverges farm: 15 mn.
a) towards the Crown of Biach
To the South, rising hillside E from the crest of Biach, in order to avoid a rocky area, and then bear right onto each of the edge that one follows, ending with a rocky spine enough fun and easy, but is not devoid of risks (T1) (alt.: 1,213 m).
•    From the source to the collar: 30 minutes.
•    Of Saint-Maimes: 1 h 15.
(b) to the top of Breis
Collar, climb the southern flank of the Preil Serriere, marked by many traces, but by a lapiaz also. Between boxwood and rocks, join the Preil Serriere Ridge at best. To the left (W), follow this Ridge on the ground fairly tormented to the top of Breis (alt.: 1 280 m).

The natural unit of «Robion» is limited to the North, by the course of the Verdon, from Chasteuil to Castellane; to the East, by the C.D. 102 then C.D. 252 until Jabron; to the South and Southwest by C.D. 955 to Trigance; to the West, by C.D. 255 and the course of the Verdon to Chasteuil.

Tour of Robion (Q1)

All difficulties: P2, T1 (for good hikers) time passage: meaning of the description: 5 h, reverse: 5 h. elevation gain: climb: 648 m, descent: 648 m.
Mileage: 15,900 km. Features: one of the finest courses in the country of the Verdon. Combines the Haute-Provence with the foothills of the South. Curious cocktail of vegetation. Often magnificent. Can be done throughout the year. Cartography: maps I.G.N. n 35-42 W, «Castellane», and n 34-42 E 'Senez.

Description of the route

De Castellane (alt.: 718 m), cross to the East the Verdon, then follow route C.D. 102 right westward for about 2 km. Corbel in the locality "Chamateuil", to Park (alt.: 732 m). With the route Q2, borrow the red and yellow traces that descend to the Rayaup torrent, through boxwood and pine trees with hooks, in an area of bedrock erosion. Reach the torrent that is crossed at Ford (alt.: 712 m) (P2 - T1).
•    The C.D. 102: 5 minutes drive. Stand on the side opposite the torrent (P2) in a Woods of pine trees and boxwood, strewn with hairy foam covered ground. Perform several laces and then move towards the Southwest on about 750 m where the junction at the top of the Robion (alt.: 834 m).
•    The torrent of Rayaup: 25 min. The red trace deviates to the left, continue with the yellow, first by small laces in a rocky area, and then to the West and Southwest, following the folding of the mountain through the Hazel, sometimes interrupted by corridors of scree. Enter the ledge at the bottom of slabs (T1, exposed). In a wood, encounter a sign for «Tower of Robion», then pass over roubines and reach the crossroads of Fumeis (Panel on the left leading to the Richerme by the Ubac clos).
•    From the junction with the red trace: 1 h. Point of view: very nice on the hamlet of Taloire suspended on a promontory of the mountain, reaching only by an unpaved runway. City built in about 1200 under the name of Talodoira. Continue through a canopy of wild cherry trees, testimony of a former fruit farm, then across boxwood Kareem covered ground, reach a steep area followed by a larch wood that leads to the low of Taloire (the glue). A trail reaches right from Taloire (alt.: 1 148 m).
•    The crossroads of the Fumeis: 45 minutes. Curiosity: it is characterized by the plant environment where one is confronted with all sorts of species: cembrus pine often covered with gui, pine hooks, Cedars, larches, boxwood, cades, pubescent, etc., is a cocktail of Mediterranean and Alpine.
Off-route: right, to the West, you can reach the top of the glue by a trace, in 5 mins (flag and point GEODESIC) (alt.: 1 193 m).
As soon as we tackle the southern slope, it dominates Suns Castle Buddhist camp. The trail runs in the Woods, more sparse blue cedar and pine cembru. Cross a moraine area brief, dominate a track to the right and reach the ruins of the farm of Fontpuge (alt.: 970 m).
•    Of low Taloire: 30 min. Go later, over a track junction and then lead to the elbow of a track (ALT: 1 069 m).
•    The ruins of Fontpuge: 15 mn. Right down about 200 m, a turn to the right, carrefour; barrier D.F.C.I. left. Cross it and follow a path on the left (E) in rising, leaving another path down to the ruins of the soft right. Mount regularly (with the Q4 route), pass under a line to H.T., and later, a small path happens right in Spike (arrival of the Q4 route). Beyond that, to reach a crossroads in the bass of the soft, crossed by a wide track (alt.: 1,151 m).
•    Access to the track: 30mn. It is dominated on the left by the great wall of the Robion which we see a white spot of construction which is not other than the chapel Saint-Trophime attached to its side. A small trail departs left towards la Rousse bar by the Touron. Walk the trail, always to the East, crossing an area of broom then in moving northward, dominate the hamlet of Robion. It is on a path bordered by a hedge of boxwood, serving to limit in orchards dotted with maples, wild pear and poplars, with a few pine trees cembru that have reached the hamlet of Robion (alt.: 1,082 m).
•    The soft bass: 15 mn. Curiosity: small charming hamlet with varied vegetation. The small road C.D. 302 leads directly. Here you will find a source. The Church Saint-Pons, which is the largest building, dates from the 16th century and is a compromise of the novel and the Gothic. By a dirt road to the Northeast, on the edge of cereal crops, win the hamlet of Petit Robion (alt.: 1 085 m). Though there are nowadays many ruins, there's still a restoration effort that begins. The path to the chapel Saint-Trophime spreads to left (route No. Q3). At the exit of the hamlet, source; Autour, orchards with willows, poplars and fruit trees. Flair route and take a path on the left which descends in a beautiful pine forest on the grassy ground (P2). Laces allow to reach the C.D. 102 road, at the confluence of the ravine of the Pre-the Wolf and the torrent of Rayaup (alt.: 898 m).
•    The hamlet of the Robion: 45 min. Take road left, towards the North, following the R.G. Rayaup torrent. After a lace, pass in this torrent Dr and cross the Glues before the Corbel of Chamateuil (alt.: 732 m) (parking).
•    Access to the C.D. 102: 30 minutes drive.

Top of Robion (1,660 M) (Q2)

By the Pauvettes

Description of the route

De Castellane (alt.: 718 m), crossing to the East, the Verdon and right follow the C.D. 102 Road West, about 2 km. Corbel arches at the locality "Chamateuil" for parking (alt.: 732 m). With the Itineraireq1, take the yellow and Red footsteps until the junction (alt.: 834 m).
•    The C.D. 102: 30 minutes drive. Leave the yellow trace continue westward, in the direction of the turn of the Robion, and follow the Red left performing long laces through a wood of pine trees and boxwood strewn with pubescent. The ground is often covered with foam. The trail trace a large straight line to the Southwest, passing through so-called escarpments of «Pauvettes» (alt.: 1 122 million).
•    From the junction with the yellow trace: 45 min. Climb of new laces between cliffs dominate the Sarrage ravine, still in the Woods, get around the top of the ravine and climb to a small bare Summit; fore Summit alt.: 1 383 m (signal).
•    Of the Pauvettes: 45 minutes. On the rump of the mountain through shrubs and shaved vegetation, towards the top of the Robion which can be reached in a rocky area (alt.: 1 660 m) (GEODESIC signal).
•    Of the fore Summit: 1 h.
•    C.D. 102: 3 h. perspective road: entering to the North, on the gorges du Verdon, dominated by the Brandis Cadieres, to the East, on the ridges of Destourbes and the Maritime Alps, to the South, on the Haut-Var and the West, on the margins and the peaks of the Mourre de Chanier to the Pre-chauvin. Around, it is surrounded by cliffs.

Chapel Saint-Trophime (1,362 M) (Q3)

Description of the route

The hamlet of Robion (alt.: 1,082 m), the path of Earth leading to breakfast Robion northwesterly (alt.: 1 085 m). At the entrance of this hamlet, deviate to the left by a path which rises to the Northwest (P2). Abandon it northward, and by another narrow path, stand to the West, in order to cross a wood of pine trees with hooks. The climb is steady, by a steep path, to reach the bottom of the high wall of the Robion. It is no longer that a trail that flows through the ruins of the former village, pass under large characteristic, in the middle of the cliff, and carved markets extended roof, climb the headland that leads to the chapel Saint-Trophime (alt.: 1 369 m).
The hamlet of Robion: 1 h. characteristics: Chapel left abandoned, it is now partly ruined. His only protection is the fact that it is flat against the wall of the Robion.It is very visible from afar.

Circuit of are Freyiere (Q4)

Description of the route

The small hamlet of 'Sun' (alt.: 722 m), take the path covered to the N to the right of the fountain and rise towards a wood of black pines to hook up to a junction (alt.: 748 m).
•    Sun: 5 minutes. Take the right path on the North, by a PIN (ALT: 789 m), return to the Southeast. Leave a less obvious way left, then another right to move eastward through a magnificent wood softwood (pine hooks, boxwood, ferns). Reach a track D.F.C.I. (barrier, 30 m to the right) (alt.: 867 m).
•    The path covered: 35 min. Move left (northeast); at a junction, turn right runway in balcony above the ravine of make-Freyiere. Gradually, she turned to the Southeast (barrier O.N.F. la Faye and le Bourguet). After sparse course achieve a shoelace. A road extends our leadership (alt.: 964 m).

•    Make-Freyiere collar: 30 minutes. Towards the North, following a same race, go under a H.T. line and join the crossroads overlooking the rock of the fortress (alt.: 1,125 m).
•    Rocky Mountain slides: 20 minutes. Head to the right (northeast) by a good path through the Woods. A path comes to spur on the left (alt.: 1 095 m) (trail above) (route Q1).
•    Crossroads: 20 minutes. To the West (with the Q1 routing), follow the path marked in yellow. It crosses the ravine of the soft, and then passes under a line electric H.T., and further, joined a crossroads (new track D.F.C.1.) (alt.: 1,038 m) (The Q1 route deviates to the right).
•    Of the spur junction: 20 minutes.
Two options are available:
1st possibility: the castle of Valcros: A good path is committed towards the Southeast and then South, bypasses the ruins of the soft right and then reached the ravine from the mild to a tank. Cross the ravine and down by its left bank Castle Valcros (alt.: 855 m).
•    Of the 1,038 m crossroads: 30mn. After a hook to the East, back to the West, then North, to again cross the ravine of the sweet and its right bank, a path leads to the ruins of Moulineau then a PIN of the road accessing the Sun Castle (alt.: 738 m).
•    The Château de Valcros: 20 minutes. By this road, access to the C.D. 955 road (alt.: 664 m).
•    Access to the road: 15 minutes. To the South, follow the road to Sun (1,500 km) (alt.: 722 m).
•    Access to the road: 20 minutes.
2 ° possibility: the castle of Sun. Cross a barrier, and take the D.F.C.I. Lane West, pass in the Fontpuge locality and at a crossroads (larch) (alt.: 960 m), a yellow path leads directly to the Sun Castle where a Buddhist temple was built (alt.: 812 m).
•    Of the 1,038 m crossroads: 35 min. To the South, take the road leading to route C.D. 955 and S, to Sun (alt.: 722 m).
•    Sun Castle: 50 min.
