Lakes of Aron (R1)

All difficulties: P1 (for walkers). Time: meaning of the description: 0 h 30, reverse: 0 hrs unevenness: climb: 39 m, descent: 9 m
Mileage: 1,900 km. Features: small nice promenade. Can be done throughout the year. Mapping: map I.G.N. n 35-43 W, «Seillans.

Description of the route

Of Comps-sur-Artuby (alt.: 900 m), at the Northwest exit, follow Highway C.D. 955. Approximately 100 m after the crossroads with the road C.D. 21, lieu-dit "Le Pigeonnier", a small coated path deviates left uphill to the small chapel of Saint-Didier, should not miss to visit.
Pass in front of the farm in the countryside of Aron and down a small path to the West-North-West, in the direction of the Lakes (alt.: 930 m). Of Comps-sur-Artuby: 30mn. Recommendations: these lakes are closed as part of a private property. It is recommended not to go swimming, or exceed the limits of the fences.The water of these lakes is only used to watering crops.

Notre-Dame de Saint-Julien (R2)

All difficulties: P1 - P2 (for walkers). Time: meaning of the description: 0 h 45, reverse: 0 h 45 metres in height: climb: 26 m. mileage: 2,400 km. Features: pleasant route. Very curious Chapel. Can be done throughout the year. Mapping: map I.G.N. n 34-42 E, 'Senez.

Description of the route

At Trigance, joining the small path lined initiating on the C.D. 90 road, uphill to the village from the bridge of Miassol (alt.: 732 m).
Follow this path to the Southeast for about 2 km, where it reached good Creek after passing next to the properties of la Bastie, Grau, the Condamines and Chagon where next to a ruin a new house was built. Walking on the edge of fields of cereals, followed by a dirt road, bypassing the North a nipple wooded with pine trees and boxwood. Before arriving at the farm of la Clape, mount by levels, in view of the chapel Notre-Dame de Saint-Julien, that can be reached on a platform (alt.: 758 m). Curiosity: this Chapel dating from 1644 is in proper condition. Front entrance is an old wooden cross.

The Jabron Valley

The natural unit of the Jabron Valley is bounded to the West, from Comps-sur-Artuby by C.D. 252 to the junction of the trellises; to the Northwest, by C.D. 52 and the Valley of Jabron until the R.N. 85 the Batie; to the East by the road joining the La Martre, then Ste-Blaise Chapel, forest road joining Bargème and road C.D. 37 to the boundary of the Camp of Canjuers. to the South, the boundary of the Camp of Canjuers up Comps-sur-Artuby.

Chapel St. Laurent (S1) (1,061 M)

All difficulties: P1 - P2 (for walkers). Time: meaning of the description: 0 h 30, reverse: 0 hrs unevenness: rise: 31 m, descent: 9 m.
Mileage: 2,400 km. Features: Golf course in pleasant corniche on a very good path. Can be done throughout the year. Mapping: map I.G.N. No. 35-43 W, Seillans.

Description of the route

At the entrance to the small village of Bargème top perched on the crest of the Hill (alt.: 1 083 m) (parking), go to the Northwest by a road to a pine forest. After a right elbow, meet G.R. 49.
The course occurs in the balcony, followed by a line to M.T., after two Corbels, a path diverges to the right (route S2 and U1) (alt.: 1,080 m).
Of Bargème: 25 min. Continue in the ledge on the left, the area is very dry; soon we arrive at the St. Lawrence Chapel (alt.: 1,061 m). Carrefour alt. 1 080 m: 5 minutes. Of Bargème: 30mn. Curiosity: small building being restored, the back has a very nice apse. Point of view: develops the course in cornice along across the hills of the Haut-Var.

Summit of the Beisse and Bau de Saint-Michel (1,289 M) S2 (1 266 M)

Time: meaning of the description: 1: 00-1:30, meaning reverse: 0:45-1: 00 15. Elevation difference: mounted: 218 m / 322 m, descent: 12 m/139 m. mileage: 3,900 km / 5,200 miles. Description of the route

Of Bargème (alt.: 1 083 m), with the S1 route, joining the alt. 1,080 m fork.
•    Of Bargème: 25 min. Take the right path (red and blue trace at the start), the climb begins in a somewhat arid zone, it is a vegetation of broom, junipers and Wild Roses, dotted with maples that furnish the environment. Go right a large firm with a sheepfold and above, in a pine forest, arrive at the Guillen (alt.:1 159 m).
•    Fork: 15 mn. Three paths arise, take the left northward, it circulates in balcony above the plane of the Defens of Rima, facing the top of Beisse cave;quickly reach the Beisse pass (alt.: 1 162 m).
•    The Col de Guillén: 5 minutes. The road tilts toward the Northwest, a small trail departs right in the bushes of broom; borrow about 400 m, and then eastward, through a trace through thickets, win Beisse Summit (alt.: 1 289 m).
•    Beisse cervical: 15 mn.
•    Bargème: 1 h.'s Point of view: towards the South, on the hills of the Haut-Var; to the North, on the chain from the Mourre de Chanier to the Pre-chauvin.One can climb the Baù de Saint-Michel in the Southwest, just down to the col de Beisse and climb of drailles in shrubs, through a pine forest to the Summit culminating at 1,266 m (TV-station).

Clare Hill (1 266 M) (S3)

By the forest of Maurin-Clare

Description of the route

Between Jabron and Brenon, follow the C.D. 52 up to a hairpin bend to about 1,500 km from Brenon, possibility of parking. Join the pin of the road which follows (alt.: 861 m). A forest path to the O.N.C. of the forest of Maurin-Clare regularly rises westward (barrier at the start).

•    The C.D. 52: 1 h drive. The forest path descends on the other side; make a PIN and eastward through a path crowded raspberry, reaching its end. A small footpath, signposted in green initially, extends it. less obvious (T1 orientation), reach the edge of the pretty clear Ridge through wood and follow it South to the Summit (alt.: 1 266 m). The E flank is very steep (geodetic Terminal).

Clare Hill (1 266 M) (S4)

Since the Henry. All difficulties: P2, passing T1 (for average hikers) time: meaning of the description: 1 h, reverse: 0 h 45 metres in height: climb: 347 m.
Mileage: 2,600 km. Features: ascension in a green setting. Route that can be iterated through all year. Mapping: map I.G.N. No. 35-42 W, «Castellane.

Description of the route

On the C.D. 52 road, to reach the turn going to the village of Brenon. The Henry (ALT: 919 m) (possibility of parking), continue by road to Châteauvieux on about 250 m. right take the forest road (entrance barrier) amounting to the South. The coast is fairly regular. After a landing to the West, then South, is no longer only a trail that leads into the bed of the Valley of the Massif (alt.: 1 040 m).
•    The Henry: 30mn. Always to the South, the trail straightens a very steep way in wood with large Clots pubescent, dense pine and whose floor is covered with boxwood. After a corbelled southwesterly reach crete at place called 'Bel Air' (alt.: 1,209 m).The Valley of the Massif: 20 minutes. To the North, follow the ridge overlooking an Escarpment located right, to the top (alt.:1 266 m) (geodetic Terminal).
•    Access to the peak: 10 minutes.
•    The hamlet of the Henry: 1 h.

Mountain Destourbes

The natural unit of the Destourbes mountain is limited to the northeast from Castellane by R.N. 85 road to the hamlet of la Batie; to the Southeast, by the Jabron River until the crossroads of la Treille; to the West, by C.D. 252 and C.D. 102 to Castellane roads.

Chapel of Notre-Dame of Eoux (T1) (1,273 M)

Description of the route

From the village of the guard on the road RN 85, about 5 km southeast of Castellane, take small departmental road to the hamlet of Eoulx (alt.: 1,070 m).Possibility of parking under large chestnut trees. Curiosity: dating back to the year 1045 as Eols, it remains a typical hamlet. Its streets are very narrow with at the entrance of the Castle from the 17th century with two imposing towers on the façade.
Pass the hamlet to the West and move to the right of the Church Saint-Pons, along a dirt road on approximately 100 m. by track barely marked left cereal terraced crops, join the two small reservoirs of the village, and then in the wild PEAR, Walnut wood and pubescent, win the small Gothic Chapel of Saint-Antoine roof is collapsedonly the apse remains intact (alt.:1 144 m).
•    The hamlet of Eoulx: 10 minutes. Pass over this Chapel and mount in the scrubland composed of broom, boxwood, Wild Roses, lavenders, dotted with a few hooks pine and downy oak up to the crest of the Hill (alt.: 1 253 m). Right, to the Southeast, follow the partly Rocky Ridge, avoiding a rocky bastion from the left (N). Earn a breach and then carry on the Summit plateau (alt.: 1,273 m).
•    Of the Saint-Anthony Vault: 20 minutes.
•    The hamlet of Eoulx: 0 h 30. Point of view: to the Northwest, on the Destourbes Ridge in the continuation of our itinerary, and left the Robion. To the South, very beautiful panorama on the Alpes Maritimes.

Destourbes (T2) Summit (1 543 M)

All difficulties: P2, T1 passes over the crest. (for average hikers). Time: meaning of the description: 3 h, reverse: 2 h 15 metres in height: climb: 837 m, descent: 12 m.

Description of the route

De Castellane (alt. 718 m) by R.N. 85 road towards the East exit of the city in the direction of fat, pass a calvary right facing the Roman bridge spanning the Verdon. About 100 m further, at the level of the output of the city Panel, a path rises in spike right (O Panel.N.C.) (yellow trace). Borrow it, it performs a lace amount gradually (P2) in a very nice undergrowth. After a journey towards the Southeast, the trail performs laces sometimes cutting of scree. It is under a cover of pine hooks, maples and pubescent that have reached a small track (alt.: 877 m).
•    Castellane: 45 min. Cut this track, the trail follows the parallel above to the Southeast, then performs laces in a larch and Hazel vegetation. After a long journey to the Southeast, a runway end strikes against our trail (alt.: 1,140 m).
•    The first track: 45 min. Pass over this track, the trail descends slightly, then after a bottom-up passage of about 500 m, make large loops sometimes in a dense undergrowth, sometimes a sparse, until you reach the rump of the Ridge area, more clear. Follow it to the S, and then Southeast, along escarpments located South-West top. Reach other 1,537 m, and on the edge of the cliff, later joining the Summit of the mountain of Destourbes (alt.: 1 543 m), surrounded by cliffs (geodetic Terminal).
•    Second track: 1 h 30.
•    Castellane: 3 h. Point of view: outstanding on the Robion and Robion and Eoulx valleys.

Mountain of Brouis

The natural unit of Brouis mountain is limited from the hamlet of la Batie located on the road RN 85, on the West by the road from La Martre and the chapel of Saint-Blaise by forest road joining Bargème and C.D. 37 road to the boundary of the Camp of Canjuers. to the Southeast, by the route 21 C.D. and C.D. 144 until the home of pine (RN 85); to the Northeast by the R.N. 85.

The small Brouis (1,432 M) (U1)

•    The Col de Guillén: 5 minutes. By a small path, right to a rump, and follow it in an arid zone, crossing twice a landslide. Exceed a pine Spinney and circumvent a ledge to the left. Return to switchbacks up the Summit plateau. To the left, to the Northeast, win the Western Summit of Petit Brouis (alt.: 1 432 m) (P2 - T1) (geodetic Terminal).
•    Collar: 1 209 m: 45 min.
•    Of Bargème: 1 h 30. There is a second Summit more East having the same altitude. He can be reached in 15 minutes with an area a little steep (T1).

Top of Grand Brouis (1,592 M) (U2)

From the col de Clavel.

By road C.D. 21, between the home of pine and the Bastide, win Clavel pass (alt.: 1,069 m). Parking on the side is the road. North, then West, borrow a Carter Road in a pine forest, with some boxwood and corncrake. Go under a small line to B.T. and reach a water intake (alt.: 1 178 m) (junction).

•    Water intake: 45 min. South-South-West with route U4, reach the Summit of the Grand Brouis (alt.: 1,592 m) (geodetic point, cairn).

Chapel of Saint-Blaise (985 M) (U3)

Description of the route

The village of La Martre (alt.: 965 m), take a small Road South heading West and then southwest to the Mauniers campaign (alt.: 924 m) (possibility of parking), ruins in restoration.
Follow the dirt road lined with alders along the Valley of the Frayieres stream. It through an angle of 90 ° and 250 m further on, a path deviates left crossing the river Artuby by a Ford (ALT: 918 m).

Description of the route

•    Fork: 15 mn. Clot des Moulins (red and blue staking a tree) (alt.: 951 m).
•    Ford: 5 minutes. The path from left rising slowly and steadily, followed by red marks. It performs four long laces and then to the Northeast, it sinks in a straight way for about 3 km, in order to reach the col de Brouis (P2) (alt.: 1,287 m) (junction with route No. U2 arriving in front).
•    The bifurcation of the Clot of the mills: 1 h 40. It is here that the adventure begins; the South-South-West, by a small path, (T1), engage in a thicket of boxwood and broom about 200 m, the area becomes more sparse, and Coast worsens. By a wooded hilltop North Slope, climb to the Summit (alt.: 1,592 m) (geodetic point, cairn).

Description of the route

The village of La Martre, with route U4, join the parking (alt.: 926 m) and to the junction of the Clot of the mills (alt.: 951 m).

The Margès

The natural unit of the Margès, from the lac de Sainte-Croix is limited to the Northwest by the course of the Verdon, facing the ravine of Mortmain. A direct line to the C.D. 71 road, that we follow to the Artuby bridge; to the Southwest by the limit of the Canjuers Camp up the road C.D. 957 and the Lake of Sainte-Croix.

The large Margès (1,577 M) (V1)

Mileage: 4,700 miles. Features: route classical, very common; carried out in a beautiful forest. Can be done throughout the year. Mapping: map I.G.N. No. 34-42 W "Moustiers-Sainte-Marie.

Description of the route

Of Aiguines (alt.: 837 m), borrow G.R. 99 towards the Southeast in rising in the village to the chapel Saint-Pierre (stunning views over the village of rooms and the Lake of Sainte-Croix-orientation table). Pass left a water reservoir and reach the C.D. 71 road that is cut diagonally to rise by a small path in a wood of pines of Austria and downy oak. Cross this sinkhole East, a path rises in lapiaz northward, then southeast to join the edge of cliffs overlooking the canyon du Verdon (P2 - T1). Follow this balcony, exposed to the wind, to the top of large Margès (alt.: 1,577 m) (GEODESIC signal).
•    Cervical Chabrat Faou: 40 minutes.
•    The village of Aiguines: 2 h 30.
Variant of departure
C.D. 71 road, is 1 km after the pass of D'illoire, an elbow, a small road (alt.: 1,056 m), marked by yellow accessing the depression located to the southeast of the top of the well, and the described route (alt.: 1,078 m). The C.D. 71: 5 mn road, which reduces the described course of 45 min. Description of the route

On the C.D. 71 road 15 km from the village of Aiguines, in the direction of Comps-sur-Artuby, join the hostel of the riders (alt.: 802 m) (parking).
Return to the West-North-West by road on about 200 m. G.R. 92 departs left southerly then westerly by a small pretty Rocky trail through boxwood dotted with pubescent. Enter a very nice undergrowth where it meanders between beeches and a pubescent, and then climb a small hill where you meet a former pillar.Continue above, then again northwesterly, cross a sparser zone through genets, the ground is littered with thyme and Lincoln. A new more pronounced side leads to a wide path (P2) (alt.: 932 m).
•    Riders Inn: 45 min. Always to the Northwest, walk this way under a canopy of beautiful beech with location of the pubescent and Holly. A clearing a path sometimes left in the epi (alt.: 928 m).
•    Access to the track: 7 minutes. Continue in the same direction, the path is sometimes straight. A small release, is a source to the left (Périer fountain), and then right, about 200 m further, happens the yellow route of the trail coming from the bottom of the Grand Canyon of the Verdon Vidal (alt.: 932 m) (yellow trace on a former pillar below partly hidden by a broom).
•    Clearing: 13 minutes. Continue with the path and achieve a PIN of the C.D. 71, that are tangent (alt.: 958 m), lieu-dit «La Petite Forêt» (a yellow path happens across the road).
•    Vidal Trail: 25 min. By a small path, rise above the road first southward and then very quickly westward for approximately 150 m where it initiates a hook in direction East, climbing up the wood of the great forest first in a straight way (P2), under a dense canopy. After about 1 km the trail turns towards S amount more strongly (P2 - P3), performing tight laces through beech forest dotted with Holly and boxwood, whose soil is tapi dry leaves and grass, large bluebells and yellow joubardes place. Arrive at the Garimbau steps on the Summit plateau (alt.: 1 303 m).
•    Petite Forêt: 50 min. Cross this «said glue» plateau, southwesterly between stands of boxwood with a few scattered trees then after about 400 m, moving toward the Northwest. The course is about level in an area unobstructed covered with grass as well as clumps of lavender and thyme. Grow more frankly between the boxwood. Go to the 1,460 m peak followed by about 500 m more far by point 1 504 Mr. course takes place on a rump more marked in an area of limestone pavements and reaches a shoulder where a flat part leads to the Summit (alt.: 1,577 m).
•    Pas de Garimbau: 1 h.
•    Riders Inn: 3 hours. Point of view: see itinerary no. V1.
Return: by the same route in the direction reverses: 2 h 30 (either total: 5 h 45)
By route No. V1 forward reverse: 1 h 45 (either total: 5 h).

Lower Verdon

The natural unit of the lower Verdon is limited since the N, the Lac de Sainte-Croix, in the East, by the road accessing Moustiers-Sainte-Marie. to the North, by C.D. 952 road until Vinon-sur-Verdon to the West; to the South, by the course of the Verdon dating back to the Lake of Sainte-Croix.

Circuit of Boutas (W1)

All difficulties: P2 with passages Ti orientation time: meaning of the description: 4 h, reverse: 4 hours elevation gain: rise: 306 m, descent: 306 m.
Mileage: 13,400 miles. Characteristics: average interest varied route. A browse in the spring and fall. Mapping: map I.G.N. n 33-42 E, 'Valensole.

Description of the route

The quiet little village of Montagnac (alt.: 610 m), wear to the North, on the road leading to laugh until the Grand Vallon (alt.: 561 m). Leave a first road to the left and take the second to the West after one elbow (several electricity poles in concrete). After a rating, this is more than a dirt track that tilts toward the North to pass not far from the mas of the Plan of the cross, and appurtenances, left, and the farm of the Poumettes to the right (Dovecote) (alt.: 618 m).
•    The village of Montagnac: 20 minutes. Continue for approximately 100 m North, to borrow a good track left to the West, between cultures and on the edge of an Oak Grove on the right side (residence). Plain Pubeauclaire. About 200 m after the wood, a path deviates right between two fields, borrow it to N and get off right a gully (trough). Make a hook right around the ruins of Boutas and be in the hollow of the Boutas ravine (alt.: 552 m), opposite the ruins of the Renardière.
•    The Plan of the cross farm: 30 minutes. To the left, to the West, down the hollow of the ravine with a field often alluvial (P2 - T1 orientation). By location, it is invaded by vegetation, avoid certain areas by the right. Bleeding is very marked left (limit of the communes of Montagnac and Germany-en-Provence), the vallon tilts northwesterly, "ravine of the Velanette", lowest, pass left a shooting stand and reach in a clearing a crossroads (alt.: 473 m). Approximately 400 m further, reach the road C.D. 952 Cordelle, between Germany-en-Provence and Riez.
•    Access to the ravine of Boutas: 1 h. At the clearing, engage on the way Carter to the Northeast, then e, dating from the ravine of the puppet theatre to the ruins of Guiraman (alt.: 510 m) (telephone line).
•    Clearing: 20 minutes. Continue for about 200 meters, the road makes a right S. A first very obvious path diverges on the right, not to follow, but borrow the second, less obvious sinking into the ravine on the run, first to the South (T1 East.), then west through Oak gradually dotted with junipers. Upwards, the path tightens, and this is more than a trail that weaves between twigs and some Brambles. The latter being more aggressive, it is therefore recommended to climb right on the edge of cultures, where a good path progresses parallel to the Valley, and then between the farms of the plain of Giraud, and leads to the road linking Riez in Montagnac (alt.: 628 m).
•    The ruins of Guiraman: 1 h 20. Right, South, follow this road to the village of Montagnac.
•    Access to the road: 30mn.
Total of the circuit: 4 h.
This route can be done in one sense leaving vehicles in the locality 'Cordelle' and in Montagnac.

Casteu of Auruse circuit (W2)

Mileage: 7,200 km. Features: nice hiking, avoid heat. Mapping: map I.G.N. No. 33-42 E, 'Valensole.

Description of the route

Of Roumoules (alt.: 590 m), to the Southeast, through the village in the direction of the distillery.
With G.R. 4, enter a point that is quickly abandoned to climb the first path to (pins black, pubescent, Juniper) right up to the plateau of lavenders and truffle Oaks plantation.
After a bayonet hook, follow the edge of the plateau overlooking the ravine of Beard, and then that Brusquet right, facing C.M.R. pass left a small Shack electrically large antennas and reach further a cross (alt.: 673 m); G.R. 4 deviates to the left.
•    Of Roumoules: 40 min. Get off to the right and cross the ravine of le Brusquet Casteu of Auruse crops that is crossed to the Southeast will go. Reach a crossroads on the edge of a wood (alt.: 678 m). Move to the S, after crossing a culture, down to the hollow of the ravine of Beard and join a bifurcation (alt.: 675 m).
•    The crossroads (alt.: 673 m): 15 minutes. Stand straight West-North-West overlooking the ravine of Beard right. After about 1,500 km, a spur path returned right to the bottom of the ravine. Borrow it and access it. To the Northwest, down through pine and pubescent, the path widens and reached the access road to the village of Roumoules in the pumping station (alt.: 592 m). About 500 m further on, win the village (alt.: 590 m).
•    Fork (alt.: 675 m): 50 min.
Total of the circuit: 1 h 45.

Chapel Saint-Marc (W3)

All difficulties: P2, P3 passage. (Recommended that small hikers). Time: meaning of the description: 0 h 45, reverse: 0 h 45 metres in height: climb: 129 m, descent: 129 m.
Mileage: 2,700 km. Features: nice little course that can furnish a time of day. Can be done throughout the year. Mapping: map I.G.N. No. 33-42 E, 'Valensole.

Description of the route

Allemagne-en-Provence (alt.: 423 m) (parking), follow Highway C.D. 952 towards Riez. After the elbow, which a bridge spans the ravine of Tartavel, rise right to the East, by a path very stiff in a draille, oratory left. The rise occurs in a straight way to the T.V. relay which dominates (alt.: 526 m).
•   Allemagne en -Provence: 15 mn. Bypass the relay on the left; the path to get there comes also from left. Take the path which rises very slightly on the rump of the Hill through an undergrowth of Oaks and pubescent especially pleasant to the chapel Saint-Marc (alt.: 547 m).
•    The T.V. relay: 5 minutes. Sights: Chapel very well maintained externally as well as internally. Behind, possibility of shelter in case of rain in the arched part that was once the old rectory. Exceed the Chapel and follow left in the woods a good path. About 50 m further, fork, continue left towards the Northeast, then West to the C.D. 952 road which can be reached at entrance E of the village (alt.: 437 m). Join him.
•    The St. Mark's Chapel: 25 min.

Perspective de Moussac (W4)

Description of the route

The village of Quinson (alt.: 400 m), borrow the C.D. 15 road until the crossroads of the road to Esparron-de-Verdon. To the left, follow it to said elbow of the "Templar", where a coated road undertakes left South: 545 Mr. possibility Park 500 m on this path (alt.: 543 m).
Path westward across cultures to the junction of the small Rabele. To the Southeast, take left through the wood, work around the ruins of Moussac and continue to the southwest where it reaches a fork (alt.: 540 m).
•    Of the Templar: 20 minutes. Right, to the West, take on a less obvious path through the Woods and reach a position to fire (logging). Continuing westerly, a trail extends the path; follow him (P2 - T1 East.), it is rubbed on the side through oak and broom, already seen the chapel Sainte-Maxime on the Hill of the opposite side to the great fault that dig the Verdon. Pretty much in the front of the Chapel, reach a rocky headland offering a beautiful point of view on the course of the Verdon (alt.: 527 m), although often a few trees are annoying.

Seuve circuit (W5)

All difficulties: P2 (caters to walkers). Time: meaning of the description: 1 h 15, reverse: 1¼ hours elevation gain: climb: 58 m, descent: 58 m.
Mileage: 4,200 km. Features: nice little varied circuit can be made throughout the year. Mapping: map I.G.N. No. 33-43 E, 'tavernas '.

Description of the route

Esparron-de-Verdon, take the road towards Quinson, about 2,800 km, where it reaches a double elbow (alt.: 534 m). The second elbow (parking), engage on a good track to the Northwest, lavender right, following a path leading to the right, towards the West-South-West. Achieve a first crossroads, cross it (alt.: 528 m), our route passes between cultures and in a wood where soon one reaches a second junction (alt.: 518 m).
•    Road: 20 minutes. Left take a small path that descends nearly a point and crosses a beautiful grove of pubescent dotted with boxwood and holm oaks.After cutting the ravine of the booth, go up to the Great Plains cultures in operation, some of which are fallow. Cross to the South, then take a small understory to the corner south of cultures (ruins, left shed) (alt.: 525 m).
•    The 518 m Carrefour: 20 minutes. Follow the border south of the farm. A path diverges on the right, two possibilities arise:
1.    Continue to the left to follow the edge of the farms, not far right of a shed in ruins and enter into an Oak Grove to reach a bifurcation (alt.: 526 m).
2.    Take the right path eastward through wood, leave a first road left, and find at a crossroads 100 m more far away (alt.: 528 m). Take left towards North to the junction of the junction (alt.: 526 m).
•    The angle of the Great Plains (alt.: 525 m): 20 min. Northward, settling in oak dotted with junipers and reach half the sheepfold of the Sui, restored and further parking.
•    Bifurcation (alt.:526 m): 15 minutes.

Major hikes in Verdon Gorge

The country of the Verdon gives many possibilities for crossings. There is already the G.R. 4 described in a guide specialized for this purpose, through the bottom of the gorges du Verdon and travelling in the balcony to Castellane. But there are other just as many interesting routes with respect to the variety of the courses they offer. We identified three of them to not be comprehensive.

Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, Estoublon (Z1)

Difficulties: P3 - T1 (only sports hikers). Opening hours: meaning of the description: 24 h 15, reverse: 24 hrs unevenness: climb: 3 494 m, descent: 3 628 m mileage: 79,500 miles
Features: route on 4 days. Very varied course calling a good workout on the market. A proceed preferably in spring and autumn.

Description of the route

1st day: from the village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie (alt.: 630 m), follow the road C.D. 952 to Castellane, and route No. F3 at the crossroads with the road C.D. 957 (alt.: 527 m).
•    Moustiers-Sainte-Marie: 30mn. Take this route to the col de L'ane (alt.: 1,094 m), after moving to the top of the Vals (alt.: 1,213 m), then continue by the F2 route in the opposite direction to the top of view full (alt.:1 257 m).
•    C.D. 952: 2 h 45 road. Browse the route No. F5 in reverse in order to save the village of la Palud-sur-Verdon (alt.: 833 m) (gite and A.J.).
•    See full Summit: 2 h 30.
•    Moustiers-Sainte-Marie: 5 h 45.
2nd day: la Palud-sur-Verdon: 1 h 15. This fabulous site, take the H4 itinerary to the Lady chapel and continue the track to reach the bridge of Sant-Peïre which allows access to the Brochiers and then to the hamlet of Perier (alt.: 1 261 m).
•    Châteauneuf-les-moustiers: 1 h 15. So browse the route No. L3 to perform the ascent of the Mourre de Chanier (alt.: 1 930 m).
•    Périer: 2 h. By route No. L9, in the opposite direction, down to the village of Blieux (alt.: 914 m) (possibility of camping).
•    The Mourre de Chanier Summit: 2 h 30.
•    La Palud-sur-Verdon: 7 h.
3rd day: from Blieux, northwesterly, take the Itinerairek4, traversing the rugged crest of Montmuye to the top of the Calasse COE (alt.: 1,621 m).
•    The village of Blieux: 3 h. down by route No. K1 in the opposite direction, by the Clot of in Divon in order to reach the village of Majastres (alt.: 1 162 m).
•    The Calasse COE Summit: 1 h 30. A runway marked to the North led to the dowser ravine and by the Itinerairej1 win the hair ruined village (alt.: 1,161 m) (Gîte).
•    To Majastres: 0 h 45.
•    The village of Bilious: 5 h 15.
4 ° day: return by J1 route in the opposite direction and join the road C.D. 17 that must be followed to the elbow (ait. 1 017 m). Borrow a track westward following a ridge, where it meets route J5 to the ALT. 1,016 Mr. South, follow this descending by the scallop in the Bridge Creek Tuff and the gorges of Trévenans win the refuge of Valbonnette. To rise by a good path with the red trace until a fork above the ravine of Mayaiche (alt.: 865 m) (indication Panel).
•    Hair: 3 h 15. With the L4 route and a green path, win the viewpoint of Cubercelas (alt.: 916 m), junction.
•    The ravine of Mayaiche: 1 h. right take the L3 route in the direction opposite where it joins Trévenans ruined castle (alt.: 598 m) (Sanctuary).
•    From the viewpoint of Cuberlas: 30 mins. Route No. 11 in the opposite direction will then take you to the C.D. 667 road at the level of the farm by the de Castro.
•    The castle of Trévenans: 0 h 45. To the West, win the village of Estoublon.
•    The farm by the de Castro: 0 h 45.
•    The village crumbling of hair: 6 h 15.

De Beynes in Aiguines (Z2)

(End of the provisional course to the refuge of the Mechelen)

Mileage: 85 km. Features: route in 5 days. Very varied course in very wild and beautiful sites. A proceed preferably in spring and autumn.

Description of the route

1st day: win the village of Beynes (alt.: 796 m), located to the East of the C.D. 907 road. To the Southeast, take a small path parallel to the access road to the village; It amounts to reach the top-Veriscle farm (alt.: 852 m) where you meet the No. J3 route that we follow to the top of the mountain of Beynes (alt.: 1,600 m).
•    The village of Beynes: 3 h. By route No. J2, in the opposite direction, get off at Preynes farm upstream from the bridge of the stopover (alt.: 896 m).
•    The Summit of the mountain of Beynes: 1 h 30. To the East, borrow a track, very quickly we meet a junction; turn left, always to the East, it is more than a trail that later crossed the ravine of PEAR. Southward, rising on a mountainside in order to reach the Rocky gap giving access to the village crumbling of hair (alt.: 1,161 m) (Gîte).

•    The neck of the Villard: 1 h 45. By route No. K3 in the opposite direction, earning the village of Blieux (alt.: 914 m) (camping).
•    The Calasse COE Summit: 2 h.
•    The village of hair: 4 h 30.
3 ° day: from the village of Blieux, take route No. L9, to perform the ascent of the Mourre de Chanier (alt.: 1 910 m).
•    The village of Blieux: 3 h. To the Southeast, down the route No. L1, in reverse, to the village of Rougon (alt.:962 m) (camping).
•    The Mourre de Chanier Summit: 2 h.
•    The village of Blieux: 5 h.
4 ° day: by G.R. 4, join the Point Sublime (ALT: 787 m).
•    The village of Rougon: 15 mn. By the fabulous trail Martel, then take route No. G1, in the opposite direction, which will allow you to browse the Grand Canyon of the Verdon to the intersection for the Estellie (alt.:554 m), where we climb to the hut of the Mechelen (alt.:893 m) (end of course provisional until the bridge should be replaced.

Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, Castellane (Z3)

Features: route in 3 days. Rugged and quite varied course usually giving very aerial along the route. A counselor in the spring and fall.

Description of the route

1st day: as for the route No. Z1, join la Palud-sur-Verdon from Moustiers-Sainte-Marie.
•    The village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie: 5 h 45.
2 ° day: la Palud, with route No. Z1, win the top of Mourre de Chanier (alt.: 1 930 m), then take route No. L1, in reverse, to the junction with route No. M3 (alt.: 1 597 m).
•    La Palud-sur-Verdon: 4 h. browse the route No. M3 following the Ridge leading to the top of the Pioulet and the Barbene bar, to join the bass Colle (alt.: 1 446 m) (camping). -From the junction with route No. L7: 2 h.
•    La Palud-sur-Verdon: 6 h.
3 ° day: glue bass, perform the ascent of the Pre-chauvin by the route No. 9 (alt.: 1,741 m).
•    Glue bass: 30mn. Down by the route No. 6, in the opposite direction, following the ridge to the Southeast, to the junction of the green route of the Brandis Cadieres (junction with route No. 5) (alt.: 1 508 m).
•    Summit pre Chauvin: 1 h 15. By the route No. 5, join the glue Bernaiche (alt.: 1 420 m).
•    Of the Cadieres of Brandis: 45 min. With route No. 4, in reverse, and a red trace, win the village of Villars-Brandis, then follow the G.R. 4 to Castellane (alt.: 718 m).
